For institutional

The seat your team always wanted from Bloombergwithout the seat tax.

For small funds, RIAs, family offices, and prop desks. Convexity gives every analyst the data layer + AI synthesis they actually use, at $29/mo per seat. Multi-seat onboarding arrives later in 2026; early-access teams lock founder pricing for life.

Why teams use it

Three pillars institutional desks actually buy.

Each pillar is a separate ask from a different person on the desk – the analyst, the head of research, and the COO who has to sign off. Below is what each one of them gets.

01

Data depth

The non-negotiable layer your analysts need before they touch a screener.

  • SEC EDGARForm 4 + 8-K, ~30s lag, 5-year backfill
  • Congress STOCK ActHouse + Senate PTRs, cluster detection
  • 13FWhale positions, 70 funds tracked
  • FMPLive tape + WebSocket, 2-min poll for tail symbols
  • FRED40+ macro series, daily 04:35 UTC
  • USPTOPatentsView, daily sync
  • Greenhouse / WARNATS job boards + NY-state layoff notices, daily sync
02

AI grounded in your tables

Every answer cites a filing, 8-K, or print; your analysts verify in one click.

  • RoutingIntent-based routing across Luna → Sonnet → Opus
  • ToolsQuotes, portfolio, news, insider, options flow, earnings, snapshots, briefs
  • Deep researchLong-form reports with paragraph-level traceability
  • LedgerPer-user usage ledger by surface + model + tokens
  • Spend capsServer-side, per-user, enforced before the call
  • CachingPrompt cache on repeat queries; stale on data refresh
03

Compliance posture

What you need to put Convexity in front of an IT review.

  • AuthArgon2id password hashing + hardware passkey support
  • StorageField-level encryption for sensitive columns
  • BrokeragePlaid read-only sync – no order routing
  • AuditAppend-only log table + per-user request IDs
  • HostSSH key-only access · password auth disabled
  • DataAll sources cited, no synthetic data, no black boxes

Functional seats covered

Three seats. One surface. No duplicate subscriptions.

Most small funds and RIAs run with three functional seats, research, portfolio, compliance, even when one person wears two hats. Convexity is built around those three workflows instead of forcing a single-analyst shape on the whole team.

I
Analyst
Primary-source research, memo drafting with cited AI, watchlist and alert management, and alt-data cross-reference: insider filings, 13F, patents, FedSpeak, on the same ticker page as the financials.
II
Portfolio Manager
Brokerage connect via Plaid, portfolio analytics sourced from custodian data, risk overlay and factor exposure, and a morning brief filtered to the names you actually hold rather than a generic feed.
III
Compliance Officer
Full audit log of reads and writes, export trail for every AI-drafted memo, read-only observer seats on the forthcoming Team plan, and WORM-friendly email archive hooks your CCO can forward to retention.

Reg-exam duties and where they map

The obligations that show up in a reg exam.

Not a legal opinion. An honest mapping of the operational and compliance duties a small advisory firm actually owns, against the surfaces in Convexity that help you evidence them.

What teams ask before pilot.

How does multi-seat work today?

Each analyst signs up individually at $29/mo Pro or $79/mo Pro Plus, with founder pricing locked for life. Centralized billing + role-based seat management is on the roadmap for later in 2026. Early-access teams help shape it; talk to the founder if you want to be one of the first.

Can we deploy on-prem or in our VPC?

Not today. Convexity is hosted on a single audited VPS with hardware-key SSH and field-level encryption. On-prem and BYO-cloud are not on the near-term roadmap; if it's a hard requirement, we'll tell you upfront rather than promise vaporware.

What about an audit trail for compliance?

Every request carries a per-user request ID; AI usage is recorded in a per-user ledger with token counts, model, surface, and cost. Audit-log writes are append-only. Exports are available on request.

Do you do custom data connectors?

For early-access teams, yes, within the data sources we already index (SEC, FRED, Financial Modeling Prep, USPTO, House Disclosure, ClinicalTrials.gov, USASpending, NIST NVD). We do not white-label third-party feeds we don't license ourselves.

What's the AI cost model on a multi-seat plan?

Each Pro Plus seat includes 1,000 AI queries/mo + 20 deep-research reports. We don't markup token costs; the per-user usage ledger reflects real provider spend, with intent-based routing across Luna / Sonnet / Opus. Spend caps are enforced per-user.
