1. Agreement to terms
By accessing or using Convexity ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Convexity LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, accessing the Service, or clicking "I agree," you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Description of service
Convexity is a financial intelligence terminal providing market data, AI-powered analysis, and portfolio tracking. The Service is delivered through three terminal tiers (Free, Pro, Pro Plus) and a single-feature Morning Brief tier. A separate public API (Developer and Quant tiers) is also offered for programmatic access and is documented at convexityos.com/developers. Convexity does not provide investment advice, execute trades, or manage assets.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with or without notice, and we will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
3. Account registration
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide a valid email address, maintain only one account per person, and take responsibility for keeping your credentials secure.
- Provide a valid, accurate email address during registration
- Maintain only one account; multiple accounts per individual are not permitted
- Keep your password confidential and not share it with any third party
- Accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorized use
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to engage in any of the following when using the Service:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Scrape or systematically extract data beyond the limits permitted by the Service
- Redistribute or resell any data or content from the Service to third parties
- Engage in market manipulation or any activity that violates applicable securities laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or its infrastructure
- Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Use the Service for any other unlawful purpose
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates these provisions, including suspending or terminating accounts and reporting violations to law enforcement.
5. AI-generated content disclaimer
Not investment advice. All AI-generated summaries, signals, and analysis are for educational and informational purposes only. They do not constitute investment advice and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
You should always verify AI-generated content against original source documents (including SEC filings, official earnings releases, and primary data providers) before making any financial decision.
Convexity is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner. Use of the Service does not create any advisory or fiduciary relationship between you and Convexity.
6. Data sources and accuracy
Market data and financial information displayed on the Service are sourced from third-party providers, including Financial Modeling Prep, SEC EDGAR, and the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of data obtained from these providers.
All data is provided on an "as is" basis. We expressly disclaim any warranties, express or implied, regarding data accuracy or reliability. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or subject to errors introduced by upstream providers.
7. Subscription and billing
Paid tiers are live and billed through Stripe. See current pricing at convexityos.com/pricing. Subscription products include:
- Pro and Pro Plus – recurring monthly or annual subscriptions for the main terminal.
- Morning Brief – a recurring monthly subscription for the daily Morning Brief digest only, without full terminal access.
- Developer and Quant – API-only subscription tiers with metered request entitlements.
- Credit packs – one-time, non-refundable purchases that top up AI query, deep-research, or API call balances tied to your account. Credits are consumed against the relevant entitlement and do not expire.
By subscribing to a recurring paid tier, you authorize Convexity to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the then-current subscription rate until you cancel. By purchasing a credit pack, you authorize a one-time charge in the displayed amount. All fees are stated in U.S. dollars and are exclusive of any applicable taxes.
If a payment is refunded, charged back, or disputed (whether by you or by your card issuer), we may at our discretion downgrade the affected entitlement, suspend access to paid features, or terminate the related subscription. Successful chargebacks may also bar future paid use of the Service from the affected payment method.
8. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel any recurring subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period. We do not issue prorated refunds for unused time within a billing period.
For initial recurring charges only, we offer a 14-day refund window. If you are not satisfied within the first 14 days of your initial paid subscription, contact [email protected] to request a full refund. This refund policy applies to the first charge of a given subscription only and does not apply to subsequent renewals.
Credit-pack purchases are final and non-refundable once the credits have been added to your account. Unused credits remain available on the account until consumed and do not expire, but they have no cash value.
9. Intellectual property
Convexity owns the platform, including all software, design, trademarks, and original content. These are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our written permission.
You own the data you create within the Service, including portfolios, watchlists, and notes. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display this content solely as necessary to provide the Service.
Market data and financial information displayed on the Service are licensed from their respective third-party providers and remain subject to those providers' terms and licenses.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information about you when you use the Service.
11. Data residency and processing
Application data, including encrypted database fields and account records, is stored on infrastructure operated by OVH in a United States data-center region. By using the Service, you consent to your data being processed and stored in the United States, regardless of your country of residence.
Certain subprocessors necessarily process limited categories of data outside this region in the ordinary course of providing their services – for example, our AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI), our payment processor (Stripe), our market-data provider (Financial Modeling Prep), and our error-monitoring provider (Sentry). The full list of subprocessors, the categories of data each one receives, and what they do with it is maintained on our Security page and updated before any new subprocessor begins processing your data.
If you are accessing the Service from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data-transfer restrictions, you are responsible for confirming that this arrangement is acceptable for your use case. Convexity is not currently certified under EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy mechanisms; cross-border transfers rely on standard contractual clauses where applicable.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Convexity and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Trading losses or investment losses of any kind
- Damages resulting from data inaccuracy or reliance on Service content
- Damages resulting from service interruptions or downtime
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service exceed the total fees paid by you to Convexity in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to: violation of acceptable use provisions, fraudulent activity, or conduct harmful to other users or to the integrity of the Service.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, you will have the ability to export a full copy of your data prior to removal. We will process data deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at the address associated with your account prior to the changes taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last updated.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
